The US Transceivers compatible QSFP-40G-SWDM4-S is a 40GBASE-SWDM4 QSFP+ transceiver module designed as a cost-effective, fully compatible alternative for use in Cisco-branded network equipment. Built around Short Wavelength Division Multiplexing (SWDM4) technology, this module operates over a single pair of OM3 or OM4 multimode fiber using four wavelengths across the 850 nm band, achieving 40 Gbps aggregate throughput at distances up to 240 m on OM4 fiber.
The QSFP+ form factor supports hot-swap installation and features an LC Duplex connector interface, allowing seamless migration from existing 10G duplex fiber infrastructure without rewiring.
