The US Transceivers compatible J4858B is a 1000BASE-SX SFP transceiver module designed as a cost-effective, drop-in replacement for HP networking environments. Operating at an 850nm wavelength, this compact SFP module delivers 1 Gbps data rates over multimode fiber with a maximum reach of 550 meters on 50/125um OM2 fiber and up to 275 meters on 62.5/125um OM1 fiber.
Featuring an LC Duplex connector interface and VCSEL-based transmitter technology, this module is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet standards and the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA). Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) provides real-time visibility into key optical parameters including temperature, voltage, bias current, and transmit and receive power levels.
This TAA compliant transceiver is ideal for enterprise switching, campus backbone links, data center access layer deployments, and storage area networking applications. It operates over a standard 0 to 70 deg C commercial temperature range.
