The US Transceivers compatible J4858D is a 1000BASE-SX SFP transceiver designed as a cost-effective, high-performance alternative for use in Aruba networking equipment. Built in the compact SFP form factor, this module operates at a data rate of 1.25 Gbps over multimode fiber using an 850 nm VCSEL transmitter, supporting link distances of up to 550 meters on OM2 or better multimode fiber.

This transceiver is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3z and SFP MSA standards, ensuring seamless compatibility and reliable operation in supported Aruba switches and access layer devices. The module supports Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM), allowing real-time monitoring of key optical parameters such as temperature, voltage, bias current, transmit power, and receive power.
