The US Transceivers compatible GLC-2BX-U is a 1000BASE-BX10-U 2-Channel SFP transceiver designed as a cost-effective, fully compatible alternative for Cisco-based network deployments. Operating in SFP form factor, this upstream bidirectional module supports Gigabit Ethernet transmission over a single strand of single-mode fiber at a data rate of 1.25 Gbps, with a maximum reach of 10 km.

This upstream variant transmits at 1310 nm and receives at 1490 nm using WDM technology, enabling full-duplex communication over one fiber strand via an LC Duplex connector. The 2-channel design allows two independent bidirectional links within a compact, hot-pluggable SFP package, making it ideal for efficient fiber utilization in bandwidth-sensitive environments.
